Robert Pappas has over 36 years of industrial chemical plant experience with the last 10 years in process safety and occupational safety roles. Robert is from Charleston, SC and has worked in the chemical, carbon materials, and textile industries. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a member of ANSI as a US National technical representative on the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in electrostatic packaging. After receiving his Bachelor and Master Degrees in Chemical Engineering, he started his career as a process engineer and spent the next 26 years in various project and production roles. Along with achieving CSP status, the previous 10 years in process safety and occupational safety roles gave him invaluable experience in understanding of proper case management of workplace injuries. The experience as a DATIA DOT Certified Collector for the past 2 years was essential in understanding the Federal and State DOT and non-DOT regulatory requirements.
